AngryPing is created as a Trojan which mimics a flooder by overloading the user’s internet connection with massive amounts of useless data. This may result in a DoS attack which can take down a website. DoS attacks are successful when many PC’s are used simultaneously in such an attack. These types of applications are used many times on IRC channels to disrupt communications. AngryPing is installed onto the users PC without their knowledge or consent….

Deadly Network Flood

Deadly Network Flood overloads the user’s internet connection by pinging. This results in a DoS (denial-of-service) attack. A server is incessantly pinged until it crashes from the massive amounts of information. Numerous DoS tools are spread by viruses. Hackers enter user computers on a large scale and install Deadly Network Flood without the user’s knowledge or consent. They then simultaneously strike with a DoS attack. Large websites such as Yahoo and CNN have been successfully attacked using these methods. Backdoor programs may also be installed making the users PC’s security vulnerable and open to hackers. Deadly Network Flood’s date of origin is November, 2000….
