Once a user visits 7win-wellcome.com, a fake online system which has the same GUI as My Computer, will be conducted. Then scan reports, security alerts and pop-up windows will be displayed all claiming that the system is infected and the only solution is to purchase the “licensed” version of Antivirus 7. Browsersecurecheck.com is a fraudulent website that victims of browser hijacking Trojans are typically redirected to. Once a victim lands on Browsersecurecheck.com, he/she will be presented with a warning page claiming that the webpage he/she was about to visit is infected. The victim will then be advised to “get security software” in order to continue browsing safely. When the victim clicks on the option to get security software he or she will be redirected to the payment page of Antivirus 7, a rogue anti-virus application. Do not waste your money on Antivirus 7 because it is a useless application….

Av-guru.microsoft.com is a fake security warning page that is inserted into user’s browsers by sneaky Trojans. Once a user’s browser has been hijacked, he/she will be frequently redirected to Av-guru.microsoft.com when attempting to access other websites. Av-guru.microsoft.com will maliciously inform the user that the website he/she is about to visit may be infected, then the victim will be advised to purchase the “full” version of Antivirus Soft in order to continue browsing safely. Av-guru.net is a malicious website that users who are infected with Antivirus Soft are usually redirected to. The same Trojan that installs Antivirus Soft into a compromised PC also inserts Av-guru.net into the browser causing a victim to be constantly redirected to the misleading domain. Av-guru.net displays a fake computer security warning and recommends that the victim purchase the “full” version of Antivirus Soft in order to remove all the detected computer threats. Do not believe anything on Av-guru.net; the fake malware detections are all part of a scam to obtain unsuspecting users’ money….

Secure-your-pc.info is planted into victims’ browsers by sneaky Trojans. When a user visits Secure-your-pc.info a number of security alerts and pop-up warning messages will be displayed. If a user clicks on any of these fake security notifications he/she will be redirected to Scanner.secure-your-pc.info, where a fake online system scan will be conducted. Mega-scan-pc-new14.biz is a misleading website that advertises rogue security applications such as Security Essentials 2010. Mega-scan-pc-new14.biz secretly enters victims’ systems with the help of Trojans which hijack web browsers and redirect victims’ searches to the malicious domain. A fake system scan, security notifications and pop-up messages will then be displayed in order to trick victims into thinking that their systems are infected. These fake security messages are displayed to coerce victims into purchasing Security Essentials 2010 which will apparently remove the “detected” malware. Use a recognized security tool to remove this browser hijacker and do not waste your money on Security Essentials 2010….

Generalscansite.com is a website used by cyber-criminals to advertise and distribute the rogue application called Live Enterprise Suite. Generalscansite.com is encountered by victims that have been infected with Trojans associated with the malicious domain. When a victim lands on Generalscansite.com a fake scan is run that will claim to detect numerous virus, worm and Trojan infections. Security alerts and pop-up windows will also flood the victim’s computer screen. Then the user will be urged to purchase the “full” version of Live Enterprise Suite in order to remove the malware.
