STAMFORD, Conn., July 13 — Checkpoint Software along with several smaller corporations have recently started to list SpyHunter, a software product of Enigma Software Group, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ENGM – News; “Enigma” or the “Company”), in their security products as a security threat. The other companies that have begun detecting SpyHunter are Kaspersky Lab, BullGuard LTD., Ikarus, SoftWin (BitDefender), GData (AntiVirenKit), Ewido, Esafe, Fortinet. This precipitous and ill-considered action by these competitors can cause Enigma damages.

Today Zone Alarm Corporation started to list Enigma Software Group’s SpyHunter software product in their “Zone Alarm” Security product as a security threat. Zone Alarm falsely listed the product as a Security Risk, with a medium threat rating. They identify SpyHunter as a not-a-virus:FraudTool.Win32.SpyHunter.b.

STAMFORD, Conn., May 2, 2007 –Enigma Software Group, Inc. (OTCBB:ENGM) received notice today that Symantec Corporation has ceased detection of SpyHunter by Symantec’s products. In a letter from corporate counsel, Symantec explained that its analysts reviewed SpyHunter “and determined that it did not meet our detection criteria.” At this point, Enigma has no further comments on legal action against Symantec. Recently, Enigma has engaged the Internet security community in an open discussion that included a group of several smaller competitors. The discussions were positive, and many people, especially Eric Howes, offered constructive suggestions.

STAMFORD, Conn., April 25, 2007 — Today Symantec Corporation (NASDAQ:SYMC) started to list Enigma Software Group’s (OTCBB:ENGM) SpyHunter software product in their “Norton 360″, and “Norton SystemWorks” Security products as a security threat. Symantec falsely listed the product as a Security Risk, with a severe threat rating of 3. This precipitous and ill-considered action by Symantec is causing Enigma Software Group significant damages.

In response to Symantec’s erroneous action, Enigma sent Symantec a Cease and Desist letter. A copy of the letter can be found at the following link SYMANTEC CEASE AND DESIST. Enigma intends to follow through with swift legal action. SpyHunter is not a security threat, and Enigma intends to defend it’s position vigorously against any business that seeks to use this erroneous designation as part of a strategy to undermine competition. Contrary to Symantec’s listing, SpyHunter helps consumers protect their computers against unwanted spyware and malware.

The producers of adware and spyware have increased their technology, making their software substantially more difficult to remove. Due to the complexity of new adware and spyware, the challenge of removing these parasites has also become more costly. Because of this, SpyHunter 1 has become obsolete.

As of March 10th 2005, we no longer provide support or updates for the SpyHunter v.1 series. All customers of Enigma that have purchased any of the SpyHunter v.1 series will be given a free fully functioning version of SpyHunter v.2.0 with a license that will be valid until June 10th 2005.
